Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: 2026-05-17

This page explains how to delete personal data Fluck holds about you — including data we obtain when you (or, if you are a business owner, your end customers) interact with Fluck through Meta Platforms (Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp Business).

If you only want to revoke a single channel connection without deleting your Fluck account, follow Option A. If you want to remove your Fluck account entirely, follow Option B.

Option A — Disconnect a Meta-connected channel only

This is the option that applies if you are a Fluck Business Portal user who connected a Facebook Page, Instagram Business Account, or WhatsApp Business number to Fluck and now want to stop the connection without deleting your whole account.

You have two paths.

From the Fluck Business Portal

  1. Sign in at https://portal.fluckai.com
  2. Go to Messaging → Configure → Channels
  3. Find the channel you want to remove and click Disconnect
  4. Confirm the action

From Facebook Business Settings

  1. Go to https://business.facebook.com/settings/business-integrations
  2. Find Fluck in the list of connected business integrations
  3. Click Remove
  4. Confirm the removal

What happens when you disconnect

  • Our access token for that channel is revoked immediately
  • We stop receiving any new messages from that channel
  • The channel record (page ID, account ID, or phone number) is deleted from our active systems within 24 hours
  • Message history that we stored before disconnection is retained for 30 days for audit and dispute resolution, then permanently deleted (unless we are legally required to retain it longer for tax or compliance reasons)
  • All other parts of your Fluck account (other channels, customer records, tickets, profile) are unaffected

Option B — Delete your entire Fluck account

This option removes everything — your Fluck profile, all Business Portal data, every connected channel, every message, every customer record, every audit log entry. See Delete your Fluck account for the full procedure.

In summary:

  1. Sign in at https://portal.fluckai.com, open Account → Settings → Privacy & Data, and click Delete account, or
  2. Open the Fluck mobile app, go to Profile → Delete account, or
  3. Email privacy@fluckai.com from your registered email address with subject "Account deletion request"

Your account is soft-deleted immediately (invisible to other users and disconnected from every integration) and permanently erased after a 30-day grace period. To cancel during the grace period, log back in with the same credentials and confirm reactivation.

What data we delete

When you disconnect a channel or delete your account, the following data is removed from our active systems:

  • Profile information — name, email, phone, profile photo
  • Business profile — company name, address, business hours, descriptions, social links
  • Connected channels — Facebook Pages, Instagram Business Accounts, WhatsApp Business numbers, channel metadata, and the encrypted access tokens stored on our servers
  • Messages and conversations — inbound and outbound message content from all connected channels and direct chats
  • Customer records — leads, customer profile entries, tags, notes
  • Tickets, tasks, and notes
  • Audit logs related to your account

What we may retain (and why)

We do not retain message content from Meta-connected channels beyond the 30-day post-disconnection grace period.

Meta-required disclosures

Fluck Business Portal acts as a Tech Provider in the sense defined by Meta's Platform Terms — we operate the inbox platform on behalf of the business owner who connected the channel. The end customer's data is processed for the business owner's stated purpose of replying to that customer.

When a Facebook Page, Instagram Business Account, or WhatsApp Business number is connected to Fluck, we receive:

  • The page / IG account / phone number identifier
  • A long-lived access token scoped to the use cases the business owner approved
  • Inbound messages sent to that channel (text, images, audio, video, documents, location, reactions)
  • The end customer's display name and profile picture URL (we never receive their phone number or email unless they type it into a message)
  • Channel and WhatsApp Business Account profile metadata (business name, profile photo, address, description)

We do not receive the business owner's personal Facebook friend list, photos, posts, or any data unrelated to the connected channel. We do not receive payment information from Meta.

If you are an end customer who messaged a Fluck-connected business

If you sent a message to a Facebook Page, Instagram Business Account, or WhatsApp Business number that uses Fluck and you want your message data deleted from Fluck's systems, email privacy@fluckai.com with the subject "End-customer deletion request". Include:

  • The phone number, email, or social handle you used to message the business
  • The approximate date of the conversation
  • The business name (so we can identify the correct channel)

We will verify the request and delete the data within 30 days. Note that this request only removes the data Fluck holds — it does not affect the conversation in your own Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp app. To delete the conversation from the Meta-side app, use Meta's own deletion tools.
